The Ancestor of Christ, Ann is the mother of The Theotokos and is the grandmother according to the flesh of Our Lord, God, and Savior Jesus Christ.

Biography

25 July and 9 September - The Ancestor of Christ, Ann is the mother of The Theotokos. Her husband is The Ancestor of Christ, Joachim. The Ancestors of Christ, Ann and Joachim are the grandparents according to the flesh of Our Lord, God, and Savior Jesus Christ. They lived locally, in Nazareth and in Jerusalem.

The Theotokos' birth saved her elderly parents, The Ancestors of Christ, Anne and Joachim, from the shame of having no children. This birth was a sign of Holy God's merciful love.

From The Theotokos's birth, her parents dedicated her to the service of Holy God.
When The Theotokos grew older, she served Holy God and also the whole human race by agreeing to give birth to the Incarnate Word and Son of God, Holy God the Son within the Holy Trinity / Our Lord, God and Savior, Jesus Christ. The agreement is commemorated at the Great Feast of The Annunciation (Al Bisharah) of The Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary\.

Saint Ann

The Melkite Greek Catholic Church declared that The Ancestor of Christ, Ann was a Saint. She is also called "Holy Ann."

Supposely, the Jerusalem home of the parents of The Theotokos , The Ancestors of Christ, Ann and Joachim, was near the Pool of Bethesda.

St. Anne Seminary was located on the grounds of the the "White Fathers" or "The Society of Missionaries of Africa" property on the “Via Dolorosa” near "Lion's Gate" / "St. Stephen's Gate" / "Bab al-Asbat".
