Embroidery Project - Items available for a Donation at St. George Melkite Greek Catholic Church
 

The goal of the Embroidery Project is to employ several women with part-time work to hand-sew traditional Palestinian embroideries.

Some the women of the parish learned how to hand-sew traditional Palestinian embroidery as girls. They have continued to embroidery.

Several women work part-time in the Embroidery Project.

Usually, embroidery products are only available locally. In special circumstances, Abouna Firas Khoury Diab will consider exporting embroidery products. One negative in exporting embroidery products is the high cost of transportation.

The exported embroidery products are only available by donation. The exported embroidery products are not for sale. No exported embroidery product has been sold. Further, there are no plans to sell exported embroidery products. One reason is the high cost of transportation would make the cost of the exported embroidery products so high that a cost conscious person would buy from other vendor.
