One structure contains the church and the convent (Abouna's residence). The church and the convent have a connecting door between their adjoining wall. The Abouna lives in this residence. Abouna calls his residence by the name of "Convent".
The Cross and Bell Tower are part of the front wall of the church.

In 1985, St. George Church was closed for 16 years because the priest died. During that time, the entire building deteriorated. The entire building had to be rebuilt to current building standards. The building is now safe, usable and inhabitable.

We thank all the people who contributed prayers, time, effort, and money for the past several years. The number of people is very large. There is not room to begin to name a significant portion of these generous people.

Abouna Firas Boutros Khoury Diab did much of the construction, repair and maintainence work. Further, when he could not do the physical work, he was the overseer of the work, the purchaser of the materials, and the hirer, supervisor, and payer of the workers. Also, he also obtained the approval of the civil authorities of Zababdeh.
